Casino on Your Wrist – by Christophe Claret

Have you heard of a game called Baccara? Not the female vocal duo, the game. Its actually spelled Baccarat, I know; but Monsieur Claret doesn’t care. With all his exquisite watches he’s got packed in his collection this is something I am going to forgive. More to the point though, this watch is a real portable casino. It has Baccarat on the front side and a roulette on the back side of the case, as well as 2 little dice on the side. Pretty cool right?

Christophe Claret Baccara

“The Baccara cards appear on the dial as if by magic. At 6 o’clock, the player’s cards are distributed in three small windows. The banker’s cards are at 12 o’clock. To shuffle the cards, the player presses a pusher located at 9 o’clock while a pusher at 8 o’clock distributes the cards to the players. At 10 o’clock, a third pusher organizes distribution to the bank. Every time the shutter opens, for either the player or the bank, a cathedral gong can be see through a caseband window at 2 o’clock.” – says their website.

And by the way, if you’re not really familiar with Baccarat as a game, and not a vocal duo like me, then maybe the 21 blackjack model is for you. It features the same roulette and dice, but instead of baccarat you can enjoy the good old Jack. “How much for this?” – might You ask. Well, if You are an average middle class man and want to make a good impression on your wife or employer.. then resist from spending all your son’s tuition fees, his first car and your family’s vacation budget for the next 10 years on this thing. As $ 200 000 for this watch is not really an investment.. its more of a gamble (if you know what i mean).
